The coding of the Bang & Olufsen sound system is stored in the digital sound package control unit -J525 (main amplifier).

 

The code is composed as follows:

The Bang & Olufsen sound system is fitted in an Audi A8 stretched version specified as left-hand drive, with cloth trim and a diesel engine. Two microphones are connected to the Digital Sound Package control unit -J525, and the analog input (AUX) is not used.

To protect the optical connectors, the protective caps must be used as per the Workshop Manual for removing and installing.

 

Removal:

- Remove the left side boot trim.

- Remove the communication box.

- Slacken the bolts for the retainer plate -2-.

- Unplug the connectors.

- Detach the retainer plate -2- towards the right.

- Remove the bolts -3- from the rear of the retainer plate -2-.

- Detach the control unit -1- from the retainer plate -2-.

Installing:

- Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
