No.1: Tamper alarms - 1 tamper alarm

With this option a maximum of 1 tamper alarm is tripped per open security circuit (1 tamper alarm 27-30 sec. Acoustic alarm + 5 sec pause).

This option can only be activated in conjunction with no. 4 (ATA active).

No.2 Lock cylinder for CL active

If this option is activated the vehicle can be unlocked electrically from lock cylinders (using the CL); the anti-theft alarm (if fitted) is deprimed.

If this option is not activated the vehicle can be unlocked only mechanically from lock cylinders; the anti-theft alarm (if fitted) is not deprimed.

No.3: Selective central locking

When this option (SCL) is activated, selective central locking is active. When the coding bit is changed from CL to SCL or from SCL to CL, the default values for the key numbers and FPI numbers are preset (see also adaption channels 1-4)

YZNote:

J With selective central locking, the driver's door and the tank flap are fully unlocked in response to the first unlock command via the lock cylinder or the radio remote control; the remaining doors and the tailgate are only de-safed. On the second unlock command the remaining doors and the tailgate are also fully unlocked.

No.4: Anti-theft alarm

Activates/deactivates the anti-theft alarm (ATA) and all associated functions, e.g. communication with the tilt sensor (anti-theft/tilt system control unit -J529) over LIN.

YZNote:

J Identifiable by fitted interior monitor button -E183 (the upper of the two buttons; not in USA) above the driver side door warning light.

No.5: Tilt sensor (anti-theft/tilt system control unit -J529) fitted

When the bit is set communication with the anti-theft/tilt system control unit via LIN and the associated diagnosis is started, provided bit no. 4 (ATA  active) is set.

YZNote:

J Identifiable by fitted alarm system switch -E217 (the lower of the two buttons) above the driver side door warning light.

No.6: Tailgate control unit -J605 fitted

When the bit is set communication with the tailgate control unit via LIN and the associated diagnosis is started.

YZNote:

J Identifiable by fitted tailgate close button in luggage compartment -E406, in tailgate inside trim panel.

No.7: Convenience function via remote

No.8: Right-hand drive

To be coded when fitting in a right-hand drive vehicle.

No.9: Vacant

No.10: Rear roller blind fitted

When the bit is set the rear roller blind function, including diagnosis is activated.

No.11: Acknowledge anti-theft alarm horn

The status of the door contacts (CAN status report from doors), the bonnet and the tailgate is checked when the anti-theft alarm is activated (vehicle closed, no load).

If all door contacts are open during activation (vehicle closed), this is immediately signalled by an acknowledgement horn signal.

If the switches for the bonnet contact, for door contact feedback from all doors or the tailgate door contact are not signalled as under no load until after activation, the flashing acknowledgement signal is delivered if the vehicle exterior access points are fully closed.

The warning horn must not be triggered in response to an activation of the anti-theft alarm if automatic subsequent locking is initiated. (1 min after unlocking by radio remote control or opening a door).

No.12: Rear lights

When the bit is set the LED diagnosis of the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) rear light (USA) is activated, otherwise the ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) rear light (RoW).

No.13: Footwell lights lit by LED:

When the bit is set load diagnosis of the footwell lights is deactivated, because executed in LED.

YZNote:

J With the interior (ambient) light option bit no. 13 (footwell lights lit by LED) must be activated.

No.14: No Safe function

When the bit is set no Safe command is issued to the door control units in response to a lock request. In response to an external unlock request de-safeing is nevertheless always executed. If a Safe feedback is nevertheless set by the door control units on the Group convenience system data bus, the fault "Wrong component recognised" is entered in the convenience system central control unit -J393.

No.15: Tank lid detection activated

When the bit is set the fuel tank flap detection is activated and in the event of a fault the relevant lamp on the dash is activated.

Note:

J The fuel tank screw cap detection function, currently diagnosed by reed contact in the tank cap, will be replaced from week 22/05 by a tank leak detector, meaning from week 22/05 the -tank lid detector- bit must no longer be set, otherwise symbols subsequently indicated on the dash will remain permanently on display:

I Emissions warning lamp

I Fuel tank cap detection switch (filling station pump)

No.16: Interior monitoring inactive

When the bit is set an interior monitor is no longer primed. Any interior monitor button fitted remains permanently lit when the driver's door is open.
