Problem

After pressing the button for activating the voice operation on the steering wheel the confirmation sound “ PING” is heard and the announcement “ Cancel” is made straight away.

The dialogue is broken off and the voice operation system cannot be operated any more.

Technical background

The component protection for the voice control unit (address 67) is active, but there is no entry in the control unit for voice operation. Hence, the guided fault finding does not automatically provide the action "Programme component protection".

The component protection for the voice control unit (address 67) must be reprogrammed with the guided functions or the following test programmes:
