MMI 3G Hidden Menu

Enable the hidden menu using Vagcom/VCDS

 

[5F - Information Electr.]
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 6 -> Change 0 to 1
Save and Exit.

 

Accessing the Hidden Menu

 

Press/Hold car & setup at same time for approx 6 seconds (setup button red light goes out)
Release both buttons then press setup again.

To exit the Hidden Menu you need to restart the MMI -


Note: if the above does not work try this before the above procedure

Press/Release car (turns red)
Press/Release setup (turns red)


Press and hold down the function keys (Setup), the control button (Joystick centre button) and the control key at the top right simultaneously until the MMI system shuts down. Release the keys and the MMI system reboots.

 

What can be done in the hidden menu

Lap timer/oil temp
Needle sweep
CD ripping
DRL’s - no winking
Ambient Lighting
Battery Level
Aux ventilation
kerb lighting
LEDs @ 50% with headlights
Number of windscreen washes before headlight wash increased
Auto brake off without seatbelt being on
DVD playback when VIM
Seatbelt warning disabled
Reversing mirror dip
Alarm Beep
Emergency Brake light flash

 

 

 

 

 

Enable the Battery Meter

Instructions:

  1. Press CAR + SETUP for 6 seconds to enter the hidden developer menu
  2. Select “car”
  3. Select “cardevextdevicelist”
  4. Check the “Battery” checkbox
  5. Press return key
  6. Select “carmenuoperation”
  7. Set the battery value to 5
  8. Press return key
  9. Press CAR key (exit hidden menu)
  10. Restart the MMI: Press and hold down the function keys 1 (Setup), the control button 2 and the control key at the top right 3 simultaneously until the MMI

 

CD Ripper

You can add an MP3 Ripper to the Media Player. It converts any normal audio CD to MP3, and copies to the HDD. It titles the CDs and Tracks

 

In the hidden menu go to

Main
Diagnose
Settings
Import Multimedia

It was factory set at [copy/no ripping] 3/4

I set it to [copy/ripping] 4/4

 

You just then put an audio CD in the DVD drive, and select import. It will then pop up as a source.

 

Bluetooth activation [Hidden menu]
To enter into the hidden menu, you have to press simultaneously [Car] + [Setup] for 6s

Under Diagnostics \ Misc phone parameters\
From: xx / xx / noBT / noHFP To xx / xx / BT / HFP
